I did a Bachelor of Science (Ecology & Zoology) at UQ, graduating in 2009. For my Honours year, I am studying dung beetle diversity and functionality on the Atherton Tablelands. In both rainforest and grassland sites at the Thiaki property, I conducted dung beetle trapping as well as setting up experiments to measure the function of dung removal. I hope to contribute to our understanding of the relationship between biodiversity and ecosystem function, and to get a feel for what research is really like!
